Limited Quests are Quests that have a time limit in which they must be completed. Like Quests, Limited Quests have Phases, but these are spaced at fixed time intervals. Players can either wait until the start time for each Phase to continue the Quest, or pay Gold to start the next Quest phase early.
Limited Quests frequently yield high rewards, particularly Quest Buildings, Gold, Axes and occasionally even Helpers. They can also offer a significant challenge to the player, and provide a high drain on Resources and Special Items.
If the time limit on a Limited Quest expires before the Quest is completed, the Quest will vanish from the game and cannot currently be continued or completed. This has the potential to leave part-constructed Quest Buildings which cannot be sold or stored in the Inventory.
Note to beginners: Do not waste time or resources on the first Limited Edition (LE) Quest you receive. It probably began before you started playing the game, and will not provide you enough time to complete it. These quests end at the same time for all players, leaving people to question why they received a long quest with a ridiculously short time limit. Also, you will most likely need resources and buildings not available until Level 15 or so just to be able to complete the quest. So save yourself the frustration of an impossible assignment, and don't even start a LE Quest unless you have already reached Level 13 or higher and it is a brand new LE Quest with plenty of days for you to complete it.
